Annular Brooch found on one of our sites

Brooches appear to take over from Pins as a dress fastening from around the fifth century BC. These were made mainly from Bronze but Iron and Gold has also been used. Our Brooch pictured above; is made from a Copper Alloy, 1.4cm in diameter dated to c1250.
